[jubilant about it, a little. it's always an adventure, visiting around the up, and better with someone that he likes.]

[ Which he's... Actually kind of happy about? Letting himself be happy about? One of the benefits from all the stuff he was doing the last time they'd met. ]

[ambrose presents at the doorstep of the unfamiliar house dressed as if he's trying to meet...

...a high priest, actually. that's kind of like 'meeting the parents,' or 'the dominants' in his world. a jacket that's black, except for peacock blue lapels. a t-shirt underneath with a somewhat contemporary print of a local artist, except it's not a print; that's direct paint to fabric, actually. tasteful but in a diverse way, expensive. a scarf wrapped around his neck, as proof against the weather, as are his fine boots.

he has hanging from his hand, a black basket. no doubt rife with magic treasures for his paramour in question.

knock knock. then a ding dong. but just two of the first and one of the second, so as not to be annoying or excessive.]

[ It's certainly a way to dress to impress, and it's enough of both personal style and a bit of formality that, if Hannibal was around to see, he'd probably approve of the look quite a bit. Given how much of Judar's own style lent itself closer to rock, looks of class are likely encouraged.

Then the door opens, Judar's there with a beautiful set of dark sapphire blue eyes. Still dark, but not violently so. Something that suits his preferences towards black clothes, though right now it's just a pair of loose silk pants. There's no obscuring the way the magi's looking over Ambrose, however. Not long he's reaching to guide the older man in by the scarf, into the toasty house, and more importantly, towards him. ]

Next time, I'll have to tell you when the Doctor's around, if you're dressed for him.

[ Especially given Judar's current lack of a full outfit. Not completely done matches the house, which still has a few things being redecorated for less gaudy walls. It's getting better suited for someone that enjoyed hosting parties. Given that Judar's never shown sign of interior decoration, it's safe to say that the tastes are more along the Dominant's alignment. ]

Hello babes. [ambrose leans forward to kiss the magi on the cheek first then the mouth second. then he straightens and looks around, half-expecting to see said doctor when judar mentions him, before realizing that judar is referring specifically to dr. hannibal not being around right now. aww. that's too bad. or is it good? or is everything just the same?

focus. he refocuses on judar. despite himself, despite how he'd been actually prepared for all that, he's a bit relieved not have to stand on ceremony.]

I'd be very pleased to meet him. He's clearly been lovely to you, even with that atrocious abduction the other month. [he is probably referring to the one where judar got sort of chopped up, etc. rather than the one where his own dom inflicted boredom at knifepoint.] Nice trousers, love.

You'll have the chance. Probably whenever he decides to hold one of his dinner parties.

[ While subtle, even in greetings, there was a higher presence of peace in the way Judar returned the kiss and guided the warlock further into the house. Oh, it's easy to find him relaxed, but this was a little different, without the constant need to find something to poke against and test.

Otherwise, things were still just the same as ever. ]

These 'trousers' are the finest silk you could find in my world. Since the fashion's considerably different here, compared to there, I've taken to using them as... lounge-wear, I think it's called?

[ Though he imagines Ambrose felt they were nice for other reasons. So, after closing the door, he leads them towards the stairs and closer to the kitchen. ]

Now, we can grab something to eat or drink, or I can bring you right on up.

[ He'd offer more public places, but with them still in the stages of renovation, it didn't feel quite as fitting for the mood. Until the thoughts of mischief come about. ]

I'd like the tour.

[dominants have nice houses, as a general rule. ambrose is curious as to how this one will differentiate from his own dominant's. so far, it seems less gothy. but still, low-key and more contemporarily, gothy. are all dominants gothy? seems unlikely.] Delighted to start in the kitchen. Do you happen to cook?

[for some reason, this is difficult for ambrose to imagine. but then again, it's not as if they've ever had a real reason to venture into culinary ventures of their own. he likes spending dorian's money, for one. he flings an arm around judar's shoulders and tips his head backward, looking at the ceiling, the higher corners, the paintings on the walls. assuring himself he isn't missing anything.]

How many sublings have you got?

Hannibal's the cook around here. I've never made a meal in my life.

[ So his difficulty to imagine Judar making anything to eat was true to life.

The full tour it is, and as Ambrose requested the kitchen, Judar leads them down the hall and to the left. It meant passing by a dining room that, like most of the house, was going through a bit of redecoration to make it a little less gaudy and more open and 'sophisticated.' That was Hannibal's style. At least the kitchen didn't require too much change, though the floors or cabinets would likely be toned down, as the kitchen had plenty of counter space, a large fridge, and dual ovens for someone who'd like to cook.

Resisting the urge to sit on the counter, he settles by leaning against the side. ]

Two other subs. One's a bratty type named Yuri, and the other's a musician named... Marlo, I think? I think their rooms are set up near our Dom's, but a lot of the hobby rooms are down in the basement. We finished getting Hannibal's deep freezers installed not long ago, as he likes carving the meat he cooks.

[if only ambrose knew about hannibal's culinary hannibalisms. as it is, instead, he follows judar through and looks around with curious eyes. lets out a low whistle as he comes through, turning his head to study the newly installed devices.]

My auntie Hilda would love it in here. She'd make up pancakes for breakfast. Mince pies for the season.

[he moves slowly through the room, the basket creaking on his wrist. touches the fridge handle very lightly, tilts his head to peer down into the dutch ovens. finds the spice racks, and fights down the urge to pick them up, open them, sniff. too much. mortals are only mortals, but they don't like strangers to touch their things.]

What would we be eating, if I said I were hungry? [there's a lopsided grin as ambrose looks back at judar curiously. candy bars and wine? something ready-made. worse fates, surely.]

The Doctor likes to pride himself upon his cooking.

[ And while it's easy to tease about the idea of Ambrose having his aunt here, despite knowing that he means the kitchen itself, Judar holds back for a little bit. Partially to look into the fridge as well, in thought with that question. ]

Leftovers? Sometimes he makes some food beforehand in case any of us get home while he's working, so there'd be that as well. Delivery's a choice, too. It's not like I'm hurting for money.

[ He couldn't be, after helping get the house in the first place. ]

Delivery, [ambrose decides.] I'm ready to see your room.

[there's a devil-may-care grin with that. he leans in and kisses judar on the cheek, a token of affection that promises to be followed by an experiment or five in the next hour. he slings an arm around judar's naked waist and perches his chin on the other man's shoulder, gesturing toward the doorway with his eyes.]

I'll come down and get the food when it comes.

[the c-word arrives with a very silly smile on his face, his eyes crinkling as he says it.] Give the magical treats a spin in the meantime, what do you say?

[ Those certainly are nice bits of affection, even if his mind's thinking on things they were bound to do during this visit. Sliding a hand along the arm wrapped around him, he leaned his head over to reach a lip-tugging kiss. ]

Decided you've seen everything else important in this house, then? Okay, then treats for a while.

[ He'll lead Ambrose back to the stairs and up- up to the top floor, over to a room with both a sunlight and a large window. It was probably a study or personal workout room previously, but worked well for a large room and most personal effects in a generously sized closet that was attached. Like most of the house, it was still in a state of improvement, for richer colors and more suitable style for someone like the magi.

The only thing that was obviously Judar's, and visible, was the sizable bed and the wand that was just laying on the side table. ]

Any food you're in the mood for? These apps let you set a time you want it to show up, even. So we could just do it now and forget about it for a while.

Something carby for energy? [is ambrose's inevitable answer, with a playful grin. he puts down his basket, then immediately flings! himself onto the bed with abandon. not to be disrespectful of judar's space, but you know. they're here now. the windows get a glance. they're huge, considering he's aware of judar's penchant for privacy. inevitably there's that, then there's wanting your freedom, though.]

We're so high up, it looks like flying, [he observes, even though he's anything but flying right now. lying flat, looking up at judar with interest.] Sandwiches. Or just dessert, if we're going to be the main course. I don't know what you like.

[he's talking about food. he knows at least one or two things about what judar likes as far as sexual intercourse goes. he gestures at the nightstand, just a few feet from his head at this point -- but he's not intrusive enough to go grabbing around soemone's magical affects, no matter how interested he is.] Is that a wand I see over there?

[ For a long time, Judar didn't feel safe, and kept his privacy high. Which had only gotten worse back when he was taken away. With things progressing a little further, and Hannibal opening up an opportunity after showing that he was able to provide some kind of 'safety', the mage was able to get back to ways he was more comfortable with. A side that's been affected for... Almost a year now. ]

I like things that aren't really bitter or don't stink a lot. And if you really want to know what it looks like to fly, we'll add that for the future.

[ But he'll bring up one of the available locations on the app, handing it over for Ambrose to put in his own selections first. ]

And yeah. I usually keep it in my hair, disguised as an accessory or something. My world's not dependent on ingredients or chanting, but we do need a focus for our magic.

[ Save, apparently, for when magi get overstimulated and overwhelmed with sensations. Then, depending on what's around (including their partner,) things can happen. Like small discharges of varying elements. ]

[bits of electricity. sparkes, as essential as sweat or shivers ambrose remembers these little things, that flowed in absence of a wand. a smile spreads slowly over ambrose's face. that's flattering, isn't it?

his eyes switch over to the proffered phone. he reaches to grasp it and turn the screen toward himself. he selects some type of chocolate confection and a finger foody appetizer. he then hands the phone back, and leans up to wrap an arm around judar's waist, towing the young magus toward the bed and onto his lap.]

Does it always have to be a wand? [he asks.] Can you use other things as focus objects? Bit of meteorite rock, perhaps? Vial of dragon's blood? [his eyes are bright and warm, and he's sneaking a hand into the waistband of judar's trousers.]

[ Seems he's ready for this 'hauling the magi' game, easing his knees and moving on them along with the tugging. All to be comfortable straddled onto the lap, as he added a few things to be delivered in... Maybe a couple hours, to serve as a bit of a break? That should work. ]

Are those things usually used for magical foci? If it were so easy, I should use your body for casting.

[ Because the little micro-magical expressions weren't counting towards all that. Mm, he feels that hand, too. The warmth as it plays with the waistband. Teasing the touch by shifting his hips to the side and back, not at all shy about the friction with it, that might actually make it even easier to feel that there really wasn't anything underneath the loose trousers. Something simple, easy to discard, with the benefit of suiting his overall figure while it lasted on him. ]

Generally, it's gotta be designed for spell casting. Wands 'n' staves, usually.

Phallic objects of power? [ambrose asks, his eyes narrow with greedy pleasure.] Quite popular in my world, too. As well as concave traps that are the undoing. [that's a vagina joke, right there.]

Some sort of crafting is often necessary. A raw ingot might not due it, but a figurine vested with power. [he snaps his fingers, and the basket he'd left at the side of the bed suddenly whisks itself up to the mattress and perches itself beside him.] But as you well know, discrete spells aside, my people have got a penchant for substances.

[and suddenly, there are three vials. each one lodged between two fingers in his right hand. one is red, one is blue, and one is green.]

I was thinking we could see which one you like topically, before we apply them elsewhere.

Wouldn't mind those, too.

[ Equal opportunity foci user, or something like that. Judar quite enjoys both.

Though really, Judar envies that Ambrose's world does allow for small spells with nothing but intent and a quick gesture. At least for the daily conveniences, and whatever was in these three vials. There really is no surprise that Judar goes to take a closer look at the red vial, shifting to get more comfortable on the warlock's lap. ]

I think I can guess where that 'elsewhere' is... What're they supposed to do?

[ambrose wraps his fingers around judar's, but not enough to hide the glass. ah yes. the red one.]

A little bit induces a pleasant sensation of heat, [he says.] A little more and there's a tingle. More, and there's an itch that only friction can sate -- at speed. [there's a mischief in his eyes, vulpine and dark. he studies judar with curiosity. the mage has always been measured in the kind of control he allows himself to lose. it was only in the hands of horrific torturers that he seemed to be truly overcome.

what will the mage choose, in the comfort of his own home? he's a different sort than the witches and warlocks that ambrose has fraternized with. ambrose studies him with interest.]
